New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services PFAS Response
Our state has several areas impacted by PFAS, including groundwater contamination at Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth, water and soil contamination, and air emissions from industrial facilities in southern New Hampshire (NH). Follow this link to see if the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) has detected PFAS in water in your community
The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) has released for public comment a draft report evaluating public health effects of exposure to per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in private drinking water wells near the Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics facility in Merrimack, New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NH DES) and the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (NH DHHS) asked ATSDR to do this evaluation.
